White, 23, was selected by New Jersey in the fourth round, 97th overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft. The London, Ont. native spent 2013-2017 with Sault Ste. Marie (OHL), where he led the Greyhounds' defensemen with a career high nine goals and had career highs with 26 assists and 35 points while dressing in all the club's 68 games during the 2015-16 season. He was named as an alternate captain in his last season and scored one goal and two assists in 12 OHL Playoff games. The 6-1, 185lb. defenseman had OHL regular-season career totals of 21 goals, 72 assists for 93 points and 86 penalty minutes in 256 games.
