The New Jersey Devils announced today that the team has acquired Winnipeg’s own second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft and Winnipeg’s own third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft for right wing Tyler Toffoli. New Jersey will retain 50% of Toffoli’s salary. The announcement was made by President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald.
Toffoli was originally acquired on June 27, 2023, from the Calgary Flames in exchange for forward Yegor Sharangovich and a third-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft (pick acquired in Damon Severson trade to Columbus, originally Calgary’s selection acquired by Columbus via Seattle, 80th overall). He scored 26 goals and 18 assists for 44 points in 62 games played with the Devils this season.
