Seney

Just six games in to his NHL career and the rookie is making quite an impact on the ice. The 22-year-old got called up on November 2 and made his NHL debut the next night in Brooklyn when the Devils traveled to take on the Islanders.

The call up was even more exciting, as his parents were driving from their hometown in Ontario to Binghamton to watch the forward play that weekend. He was able to call them and tell them to reroute the GPS, as he was going to make his NHL debut.

Luckily, they were able to make it and watched him play his first ever NHL game as a Devil in Brooklyn.

After his NHL debut, he accompanied the team for the last five games of their seven-game road trip, getting ice time in all five games. To end the trip, New Jersey traveled to Winnipeg to take on the Jets for a Sunday night matchup on November 11. At 7:15 of the first period, Jesper Bratt found Brett Seney in the slot, where he ripped one past Winnipeg netminder Connor Hellebuyck to score his first NHL goal.

Although the Devils lost to the Jets that evening, Seney would hang on to the puck he tallied his first ever NHL point with.

To continue his memorable first month, the Devils forward recorded his first NHL fight Tuesday November 13, when the Devils returned home and faced off against Pittsburgh. In the second period, the rookie stepped up to Penguins' Phil Kessel in the neutral zone which turned into a bit of a scrap. Seney received his first NHL penalty for the event, serving two minutes for roughing.
The Devils walked away with two points on the night and travel to Philadelphia for a 7pm puck drop against the Flyers Thursday night.
