The Devils made a flip on the defensive side of their lineup during Sunday's workflow. Colton White skated alongside P.K. Subban while Ty Smith worked with Christian Jaros, an indication that White may be returning to the lineup Monday when the Devils host Vancouver.
"If I'm in tomorrow I'll do my job and do the best I can," White said.
White, 24, has had a chance to be in the Devils lineup since Dougie Hamilton was knocked out in early January with a broken jaw.
"It was a great opportunity. Any time you do get put into the lineup it's an opportunity," White said. "With Dougie being out for a while, you obviously don't want to see that, but it opened a door for me and allowed me to play a couple consecutive games, which is good. It helped me be a little bit more confident and comfortable."
