Who The Devil Is Damon Severson?

Damon Severson was drafted by New Jersey second overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He has played in 308 NHL games with the Devils so far in his career and had 18 points on the current season with four goals and 14 assists.

Although this Canadian grew up rooting for his hometown team, the Melville Millionaires, we feel it may have been fate that he ended up in the Garden State.

Severson started playing hockey at the age of four. He also played football, baseball, basketball, and badminton growing up. If he wasn't a hockey player, he'd be a baseball player. His favorite baseball team is the Toronto Blue Jays, although you might be able to find him at a local stadium in the off-season.

In his free time, you might catch him watching his favorite TV show, Ballers, or playing his favorite video game, Call of Duty. His favorite superhero is Batman and the best Halloween costume he's ever had? Happy Gilmore. Halloween, however, isn't this defenseman's favorite holiday - Christmas is.

The defenseman prefers country music, with his favorite artist being Dallas Smith. You might be able to catch him at Prudential Center when there's a country artist in town.

Last year, he spent time at a Professional Bull Riders event in New York City with country music icon and fellow Canadian, Shania Twain. In fact, when he's not on the ice, you might be able to find him at a local PBR event, as he's a big fan.

Severson's favorite movie is Fast & Furious, as he has always loved cars. His favorite car? An Audi R8. He also is a part of the Okanagan Dream Rally every off-season. The rally gives children in need the opportunity to spend a day in the passenger's seat of a dream car. At the event, you can usually catch Severson in the driver's seat.
