VGK-celebrate-Cup

Stories of the Stanley Cup Final and what it was like inside the Vegas Golden Knights' celebratory dressing room at T-Mobile Arena after their 9-3 championship-clinching win against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday highlight the newest episode of the "NHL @TheRink" podcast.

Daren Millard, a television and radio personality with the Golden Knights and host of "The Chirp with Daren Millard" NHL-sponsored podcast joined co-hosts Dan Rosen and Shawn P. Roarke and told stories of what it was like behind the curtain, if you will, after Vegas' win.

Millard discussed the scene in the dressing room and Vegas captain Mark Stone bringing the Stanley Cup to all the team employees so they could take pictures with it and bask in the moment with the big trophy. He spoke about his own experience celebrating with the Cup, lifting it and taking a sip out of it.

In addition, Millard spoke with Rosen and Roarke about the Golden Knights' run and how they became Stanley Cup champions. The podcast featured an interview Millard did with Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy.

Rosen and Roarke also talked about their experience covering the Stanley Cup Final, including being on the ice with the media interviewing players, coaches and executives when it was over.

After the interview with Millard, Rosen and Roarke dove into some of the news and notes going on in the NHL as the offseason commences.

They talked about the New York Rangers hiring Peter Laviolette as coach and if that moves the needle enough to make them a better team. They also discussed the New Jersey Devils signing forward Jesper Bratt to an eight-year, $63 million contract ($7.875 million average annual value) with the intention to sign forward Timo Meier to a long-term contract as well.

The "NHL @TheRink" podcast is free and listeners can subscribe on all podcast platforms. It is also available on NHL.com/multimedia/podcasts and the NHL app.
