The Ducks have acquired center Danton Heinen from the Boston Bruins for left wing Nick Ritchie.
Heinen, 24 (7/5/95), has earned 34-69=103 points with a +23 rating and 42 penalty minutes (PIM) in 220 career NHL games with Boston. Heinen advanced to the 2019 Stanley Cup Final with the Bruins, collecting 2-6=8 points with a +7 rating in 24 playoff games. Selected by Boston in the fourth round (116th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, Heinen had 7-15=22 points with a +3 rating in 58 games with Boston this season.

Ritchie, 24 (12/5/95), owned 43-66=109 points with 331 PIM in 287 career NHL games with Anaheim. Selected by the Ducks in the first round (10th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, Ritchie added four goals and 54 PIM in 19 career Stanley Cup Playoff games. The 6-2, 230-pound forward posted 8-11=19 points with a team-leading +3 rating and 78 PIM in 41 games with the Ducks this season. Ritchie ranked third among team leaders in PIM and tied for third in game-winning goals (2) and power-play goals (2) at the time of the trade.
