The Ducks have agreed to terms with right wing Troy Terry on a seven-year contract extension through the 2029-30 NHL season.

Terry, 25 (9/10/97), has scored 75-101=176 points with 74 penalty minutes (PIM) in 274 career NHL games with the Ducks. In 2022-23, Terry recorded 23-38=61 points in 70 games, his second straight season with 60-plus points and 20 goals, while he set a new single-season career-high in assists. Terry led Anaheim skaters in points per game (.87) and even-strength points (18-31=49), co-led in goals and game-winning goals (3), and ranked second in points and assists. He represented Anaheim at the 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Game, his second straight All-Star appearance to become the fifth Anaheim forward to be named an All-Star multiple times (Paul Kariya, 7x; Teemu Selanne, 5x; Corey Perry, 4x; Ryan Getzlaf, 3x).

Selected by Anaheim in the fifth round (148th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft, Terry established single-season career highs in points (37-30=67), goals, power play goals (8), game-winning goals (7) and games played (75) during the 2021-22 season, while leading Anaheim in scoring and goals. His 37 goals are the most in franchise history by a player drafted outside of the first round.

In 2021-22, Terry became the fifth Duck to score 35 goals in a season, joining Teemu Selanne (5x), Paul Kariya (4x), Corey Perry (3x) and Bobby Ryan (1x), the first since 2013-14 (Perry, 43). He also recorded a career-best 16-game point streak Oct. 18-Nov. 18, 2021 (12-10=22), the third longest in Ducks history. Since the start of the 2021-22 NHL season, Terry leads Anaheim players in points (59-68=127) and goals.

The 6-0, 185-pound forward made his NHL debut with Anaheim March 27, 2018 at Vancouver, and scored his first NHL goal as part of a two-point game (1-1=2), his first NHL points, Jan. 19, 2019 at New Jersey. Terry also appeared in 55 career American Hockey League (AHL) games with San Diego over two seasons (2018-20), posting 23-34=57 points with a +15 rating.

A native of Denver, Colo., Terry represented Team USA at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games and helped his country to gold at the 2017 World Junior Championship, where he went 4-for-4 in shootouts with a pair of game-deciding goals in the final and semifinal. Terry also won gold with Team USA at the 2015 U-18 World Championship with 3-2=5 points in seven games and won bronze at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup.

Prior to signing his entry-level contract with Anaheim in 2018, Terry scored 45-70=115 points with a +56 rating in 115 career NCAA games at Denver University (2015-18). He helped the Pioneers to the 2017 NCAA National Championship and back-to-back NCHC Conference championships in 2017 and 2018. Terry was named to the NCAA First All-American Team in 2017-18 and the All-Frozen Four Team in 2016-17.
