The Ducks' berth in the postseason came by virtue of their victory tonight over the Wild plus St. Louis' loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.
This is Anaheim's 14th trip to the postseason and the 11th in 13 seasons since 2005-06. The Ducks enter the 2018 playoffs with the most postseason wins in the Western Conference since 2014 (31-22), which is also tied for second in the NHL (Pittsburgh has 40 and the New York Rangers also have 31). Anaheim has also posted 70 playoff wins since 2006 (70-52), ranking third in the NHL (Pittsburgh has 91 and Chicago has 76).
Anaheim is currently in third place in the Pacific Division with 97 points (42-25-13) - one point ahead of the LA Kings. The schedule for the first round of the playoffs will be announced by the NHL this weekend.

To unofficially launch the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Ducks are holding Drive to the Playoffs festivities from noon to 3 p.m. at four different locations around Southern California. Fans who attend will have a chance to win prizes that include a road trip for two to the team's second road playoff game.
