Carlyle, 61 (4/19/56), led the Ducks to their fifth straight Pacific Division title after finishing with a 46-23-13 record, 105 standings points and a .640 winning percentage. Carlyle is the team's all-time winningest head coach, posting a 319-205-74 record in 598 career games. He has also won a club-record 46 playoff games during his Anaheim tenure, made three trips to the Conference Finals (2006, 2007 & 2017) and became the first coach to lead a California team to the Stanley Cup (2007). The Ducks are 46-32 in the playoffs with Carlyle behind the bench, having made the postseason in six of his seven full seasons with Anaheim (2005-06 through 2010-11 & 2016-17).
Carlyle (1,055 games played/786 games coached) and Bob Pulford (1,079 GP/829 GC) are the only two in NHL history to play 1,000 career NHL games and serve as head coach for 750 career contests. A native of Sudbury, Ontario, Carlyle was originally named the seventh head coach in team history on Aug. 1, 2005.
