Ducks Select Goaltender Clara with 60th Overall Pick

The Ducks have selected goaltender Damian Clara with the 60th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

Clara, a 6-foot-6 native of Italy, played the 2022-23 season for Färjestad BK of the Swedish junior league, posting a 17-17-0 record with a 2.79 goals against average and .903 save percentage.

In 2021, Clara became the youngest goaltender to ever appear at the IIHF World Championships, and the youngest player overall in more than 80 years.

Clara is projected to play for Brynas of the HockeyAllsvenskan (Swedish second division) next season.
