The Ducks have signed defenseman Ben Hutton to a one-year contract through the 2020-21 NHL season.

Hutton, 27 (4/20/93), has recorded 15-71=86 points and 125 penalty minutes (PIM) in 341 career NHL games with Los Angeles and Vancouver. The 6-2, 206-pound defenseman appeared in 65 games with Los Angeles in 2019-20, earning 4-12=16 points with a +5 rating and 14 PIM.
Originally selected by Vancouver in the fifth round (147th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Hutton collected 28-37=65 points in 108 NCAA games from 2012-15 at the University of Maine, and was named a NCAA Second Team All-American and Hockey East First Team All-Star in 2013-14.
A native of Brockville, Ontario, Hutton helped Team Canada to a gold medal at the 2016 World Championships, recording one assist and a +3 rating in five tournament games.
