25 Hours of Hockey showcases the sport's growth in Southern California with teams represented by members of the Jr. Ducks, Lady Ducks, Orange County Police Department, Orange County Fire Department, sled hockey, Learn to Play, Orange County Teachers, Ducks Alumni, the Ducks players' dogs and many more. The 25 hours are comprised of a series of games knitted together by a composite scoreboard. Each represented team will play for Team "Ducks" or Team "Mighty Ducks" and will feature competition from players ranging from age 8 and up. Games will begin Saturday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. and continue through the morning of Sunday, Sept. 16 with the Ducks NHL training camp scrimmage on Sept. 16.
Along with the action on the rinks, fans will have a chance to win prizes, play games, compete in a special esports zone, capture unique photo opportunities and get access to ticket specials. Starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, the games will continue inside Honda Center, while the celebration outside shifts to the South parking lot with a double-feature of "Miracle" and "Happy Gilmore". Ducks mascot Wild Wing, Street Team and Power Players will be on hand with giveaways and games to ensure a fun-filled 25 hours for all in attendance. Local food trucks, live entertainment, interactive games and much more will round out the 25-hour experience.
