Olen Zellweger collected his second career NHL point on Alex Killorn's third-period go-ahead goal, helping the Ducks to a 2-1 comeback victory over the Ottawa Senators tonight at Honda Center.
With the win, Anaheim's third in its last four games, the Ducks improved to 23-36-3 on the season and completed a two-game series sweep of the Sens.
Killorn and Ryan Strome scored for Anaheim, each netting their 10th goal of the season. Zellweger, Cam Fowler, Frank Vatrano and Brett Leason tallied assists.
Between the pipes, Lukas Dostal earned his 10th win of the season for Anaheim, and the 15th of his young NHL career, with stops on 30-of-31 Ottawa shots. Across his last three starts, Dostal owns a .948 save percentage.
Mark Kastelic scored Ottawa's only goal early in the first period as the Senators, who rank 13th in the NHL in scoring this season, were held under two goals for just the eighth time in 60 games. Goaltender Mads Sogaard made 14 saves in his 27th career NHL appearance.
Ottawa took the night's first lead less than three minutes after puck drop when Kastelic found free space in the slot and tipped home Zub's point around Dostal's right leg.
The goal, Kastelic's second of the season, snapped a 12-game pointless drought for the big 24-year-old center.
Strome would answer for Anaheim in the second period on some fortunate home-cooking, as veteran forward's centering pass hit defenseman Jake Sanderson and pinballed between Sogaard's legs for the tying goal.
