Three Decades × Three Nights × Three Giveaways

A highlight of the Ducks 30th anniversary promotional schedule will be a series of three marquee Legacy Nights. Each of these themed games will celebrate a specific era of the franchise's history and feature a bobblehead giveaway for the first 10,000 fans in attendance.

Each night will delve into the nostalgia of the highlighted era, and the team will wear their 30th anniversary jerseys on the ice for all three games. (And twelve more! See the schedule here.)

Legacy Nights VIP Parties

Legacy Night #1: 1993–94 to 2002–03

Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. vs. San Jose Sharks 
Paul Kariya bobblehead giveaway* presented by UCI Health 

Our first Legacy Night will feature a ceremonial puck drop and Take Flight moment with alumni, a special signed mini stick sale to benefit the Anaheim Ducks Foundation, an in-arena laser show, and [drumroll] the much-anticipated return of Ice Man. Fans will be transported back to the '90s with special in-game activations and features from the era, memorabilia displays, themed photo opportunities, and more.

Legacy Night #2: 2003–04 to 2012–13

The second decade of the Anaheim Ducks’ history is nearly impossible to encapsulate in one night, but this themed game will aim to do just that. After a ceremonial puck drop and Take Flight moment featuring alumni, fans will reminisce all evening as in-arena segments reveal never-before-seen team moments and recap the franchise’s most legendary games.

Legacy Night #3: 2013–14 to 2022–23 and beyond

A look back at the decade leading up to our 30th anniversary season will help us turn the page to an ever-brighter future. Alumni may be in attendance for the puck drop and Take Flight moment, but the night’s giveaway and special show features will begin to shift the focus to new franchise faces that’ll be in the spotlight for years to come.

Meet and Mingle with Ducks Legends: Official VIP Parties 

Prior to each Legacy Night game, Honda Center’s Brewery X Biergarten terrace will play host to an Official VIP Party. With a ticket to a party (and game), fans attending these receptions will enjoy open-air hospitality, drinks, and hors d’oeuvres with franchise alumni.   • Ryan Getzlaf and Francois Beauchemin (Legacy Night #3)

A charitable donation to the Anaheim Ducks Foundation’s season-long food security initiative will be made in honor of each attendee, so these once-in-a-lifetime experiences are for a good cause, too. These donations will benefit three Orange County nonprofit organizations that are addressing food security in innovative and complementary ways:

  • Orange County Hunger Alliance
  • Dwelling Place Food Pantry
  • The Ecology Center  

Access to nutritious food is a vital part of our health and well-being, yet hunger is a continual concern for children, families, and seniors throughout Orange County. With a variety of activities throughout this 30th anniversary season, we will raise awareness and funds to help nourish our community together.
