On July 11, single-game tickets went on sale for all 41 Flyers regular season home games during the 2023-24 regular season. Beyond the home opener on October 17 against the Vancouver Canucks, here are a dozen games of particular interest at the Wells Fargo Center to circle on your calendar.

Oct. 19 vs Edmonton Oilers: The lone Philadelphia meeting of the two-game season series between the Flyers and Oilers falls on the second home date of the campaign. Last season, the Flyers put forth one of their best 60-minute (actually 65-minute) performances of the season in a 2-1 shootout win over Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and company. Noah Cates did a masterful checking job matched head-to-head with McDavid, while Morgan Frost scored a beautiful shootout goal. We'll learn quickly next season if Philly can replicate that performance.

Oct. 30 vs. Carolina Hurricanes: Coached by longtime Flyers fan favorite Rod Brind'Amour, the Hurricanes have become a powerhouse in the Eastern Conference. Last season, the eventual Eastern Conference Finalists played four games against the Flyers that were decided by one goal including a pair of overtime decisions at the Wells Fargo Center, and games in Raleigh that ended up with 6-5 and 1-0 final scores.

Nov. 19 vs. Vegas Golden Knights:The Flyers two-game season series with the defending Stanley Cup champions will be over and done before Thanksgiving of this calendar year. On Oct. 24, the Flyers are in Vegas. Come Nov. 19, the Golden Knights will make their lone trip to Philadelphia. Last season, John Tortorella's club gave Vegas two tough games. The Flyers dropped a hard-fought 2-1 overtime decision in Vegas last December. In Philly three months later, the Flyers erased two-thirds of a three-goal deficit on a spectacular individual effort goal by defenseman Nick Seeler and a tic-tac-toe tally by Frost off the rush. A late empty-netter sealed a 5-3 win for Vegas.

Nov. 24 vs. New York Rangers: In this year's edition of the annual Black Friday matinee (1:00 p.m. ET) at the Wells Fargo Center, the Flyers will clash with the Blueshirts. Last season, Rangers fans showed once again that they'll turn out in force in hostile territory to vociferously root on their side. This season, the Flyers will try to start taking back their own house when one of their traditional archrivals comes to town. The Rangers will return again to the Wells Fargo Center on Feb. 24.

Dec. 4 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins:This is another clash between the Flyers and one of their most hated enemies. The Dec. 4 game is the second half of a home-and-home set between the Flyers and Penguins, coming on the heels of Saturday night tilt at PPG Paints Arena two evenings earlier. The Penguins will be back again on Jan. 8.

Dec. 14 vs. Washington Capitals:As with the Penguins, the Capitals are a longtime Eastern Conference powerhouse of the last two decades that is now in a transitional phase. However, they're still plenty dangerous and the Caps still have Alex Ovechkin pursuing Wayne Gretzky's all-time NHL goal-scoring record. In the bigger picture, the Flyers only have four home games among their 12 matches on the December dockets. It's important for Philly to take care of business at home to stay competitive before the calendar flips to 2024.Thereafter, the Caps won't return to Philly again until the final game of the regular season on April 16.

Jan. 4 vs. Columbus Blue Jackets: This game won't be Ivan Provorov's first match back in Philly after the three-team offseason trade that sent him from the Flyers to Columbus via the LA Kings. That game will have already taken place on Nov. 19. However, it's going to take a while before the Flyers are just another opponent on the calendar for a player who spent 532 games with Philadelphia. Likewise, Cam Atkinson played all but 73 of his 700 career regular season games to date as a member of the Blue Jackets. Now on the comeback trail in 2023-24 are missing the entire 2022-23 season due to neck surgery, it will always be special for Atkinson when he plays against his original team.

Jan. 18 vs. Dallas Stars:Last season, Peter DeBoer's club fell two wins shy of reaching the Stanley Cup Final in a six-game Western Conference series with Vegas that saw three games go to overtime (two of which the Stars lost). The Stars have been hard for the Flyers to handle in recent years, as Dallas has won six in a row in regulation over Philly. In the 2022-23 season series, Jason Robertson piled up three goals and an assist in two meetings with the Flyers. Philly will look in 2023-24 to be more competitive against one the top contenders from the West.

Jan. 27 vs. Boston Bruins: The Bruins have run roughshod over the Flyers since the pandemic, including a season series sweep of three regulation wins over Philly in 2022-23 on the way to Boston setting a new NHL regular season points record (135) before suffering a first-round playoff loss to the Florida Panthers. The Bruins are now at a crossroads while the Flyers are in year two of a rebuilding process. However, anytime the Bruins come up on the 2023-24 schedule, it's a measuring stick game for their opponent. The Flyers are no exception.

Feb. 10 vs. Seattle Kraken: Dave Hakstol's team reached the second round the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2022-23 after posting a 100-point regular reason. They established an identity as a relentless checking team that forces a lot of opposition turnovers and counterattacks with speed.

Feb. 27 vs. Tampa Bay Lighting:The Bolts' run of three straight Eastern Conference championships (including back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2019-20 and 2020-21) came to an end last season. However, Jon Cooper's star-studded team (Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, Victor Hedman, Andrei Vasilevskiy and more) remains a handful. This game marks the second and final Wells Fargo Center meeting of the season between Philly and Tampa.

March 4 vs. St Louis Blues: This inter-conference game took on a little more intrigue when Kevin Hayes was traded to the Blues on June 27. It will be "Hollywood's" first trip back to Philadelphia since the trade. The 2019 Stanley Cup winners still have Flyers alum player and coach Craig Berube behind the bench. Another ex-Flyer, Brayden Schenn, is coming off his fourth 20-plus goal season since being dealt to the Blues. Last season, the clubs spilt their two-game season series, with the home side prevailing in each game.

March 14 vs. Toronto Maple Leafs:The Maple Leafs, who have not reached the Stanley Cup Final since 1966-67, have built contending teams various times over the last 56 years. The issue has been getting over the hump in the playoffs. The current Leafs remain a threat to come out of the East in 2023-24. Toronto still boasts an elite group of forwards in particular, led by the likes of Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and John Tavares. The Flyers enter 2023-24 having lost six in a row overall to Toronto, with the last home victory coming on Dec. 3, 2019, in a game where Travis Konecny shined for Philadelphia.

March 30 vs. Chicago Blackhawks:Flyers fans must wait until near the end of the 2023-24 season to get their first in-person look at projected superstar Connor Bedard. Last season, in the final game of the 2022-23 campaign, Konecny tallied his 30th and 31st goals of the season at Chicago's expense.

April 13 vs. New Jersey Devils:The Devils, with veteran head coach Lindy Ruff behind the bench, began in 2022-23 to fully emerge from a rebuilding process of their own. The club posted a 112 regular season points and defeated the Rangers in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs for their first postseason series win since 2012. The Devils' contendership window has only just opened, with young star Jack Hughes leading the way. They now figure to be a threat in the East for years to come.
