BIRTHPLACE:Oulu, Finland

* Represented Team Finland at the 2019 Under-17 World Hockey Challenge where he produced 3 goals and 2 assists in 5 games.
Scouting Report: NHL Central Scouting
"An elite skater with a great set of skills including speed, balance and smooth puck handling. A smart passer who also possesses a fine selection of shots. Can score big goals and is very dangerous around the net with a fine finishing touch. A complete package that does not shy away from tight situations or rough games. Used in all game situations."
Meltzer's Take:
"Tuomaala's speed and hands are of first-round caliber. If he develops as hoped, he could be a top-six NHL forward. Despite his lack of size, he isn't afraid to go the scoring areas and he doesn't get intimidated. He was a force at the U18s in Frisco this year. The young Finnish winger is a player who feeds off emotion, for better and for worse. If things aren't going his way, he can get off track. But in terms of his feet and his hands -- two things that really can't be taught -- he's a high upside player. The rest can come with maturity and experience. He figures to see more Liiga time this year with Kärpät."
ALEKSEI KOLOSOV - Third Round (78th Overall

_2568x1444

POSITION:Goaltender
TEAM/LEAGUE: DinamoMinsk (Belarus)
VITALS: 6'1", 185 lbs.
BIRTHDATE: January 4, 2002
BIRTHPLACE:Minsk, Russia
CATCHES: Left
* He appeared in nine KHL games for Minsk in 2020-21 with a 3-5-1 record (2.69 GAA, .911 SV%, 1 SO).
* Kolosov spent the majority of 2020-21 suiting up for Molodechno in Belarus' men's league where he posted a 2.23 goals-against average and .910 save percentage across 12 games.
* He represented Belarus at the 2021 World Championship (4 GP) and helped his country earn a bronze medal at the 2020 World Junior Championship - Division 1A where he posted a 2-1-0 record (1.49 GAA, .930 SV%).
* He is just the second Belarus-born goaltender to be drafted to the NHL following Kirill Ustimenko, who was a third-round pick of the Flyers in 2017 (80th overall).
Scouting Report: NHL Central Scouting
\A solid goalie with high skill level. Efficient in all of his movements. Tracks the puck well through traffic while using fine balance and controlled movements. Very good instincts and understanding of the game. Quick and alert.
Meltzer's Take:
"Central Scouting had Kolosov as their second highest-rank European goaltender for this year's Draft, trailing Jesper Wallstedt. Some Draft projections had Kolosov in the late second to early third round, but this is a very fluid Draft year. He's a Draft re-entry player, so he's a year old and a little more experienced than the first-time eligibles. One of the big benefits of this Draft pick, apart from the goalie's raw tools, is the fact that the Flyers hold his NHL signing rights indefinitely as a KHL player. As such, there's no hurry with him. The Flyers can allow him to develop at his own pace before making a signing decision."
BRIAN ZANETTI - Fourth Round (110th Overall)
Tweet from @NHLFlyers: Swiss defenseman Brian Zanetti meets with the media after being selected by the Flyers with the 110th overall pick in the 2021 #NHLDraft. https://t.co/KT7VgcKh7O

* Zanetti was ranked #149 among European Skaters by NHL Central Scouting.
Self-scouting report:
"I think I am a good two-way defenseman. I like to make plays with the puck. I have good skating ability. I like to use my stick to break up plays. I think I can improve my shot for the power play. I want to add more muscle in the gym."
-- Brian Zanetti
Meltzer's Take:
"Lanky and mobile defenseman who has been a good puck-mover and offensive producer at the Swiss junior levels. A stick-on-puck defender who is not especially physical but doesn't just let himself get pushed around. Uses his mobility very well. Added strength is a must. Still mostly untested against higher-level opposition but he'll get the opportunity to play major junior hockey in Canada next season and continue to be a candidate for the Swiss national U20 squad."
Scout's Take
Joakim Grundberg: Flyers Scout
"Raw kid. We see him down the road as a D-man with size and mobility. Can be a good defender and help you with the puck."

Self-scouting report:
Murchison: "The National Team program was a great spot for my development. Playing against the best players in my age group, and getting to play at the Under-18s there was pretty big for me."
Meltzer's Take:*
"Good feet and puck-moving ability. Makes a good first pass and has some two-way upside."

Scout's Take:Nick Pryor - Flyers Scout
"Ty is a good-sized defender. Played two years at the NTDP in Plymouth. Good-size. Good range. Moves real well. Plays with some aggression. That's something that we really like. Something that we think he has a future in our organization with those attributes."
ETHAN SAMSON - Sixth Round (158th Overall)
POSITION:Defense
TEAM/LEAGUE:Prince George Cougars (WHL)
VITALS:6'1", 194 lbs.

BIRTHPLACE: Delta, BC
SHOOTS: Right
* He was ranked 92nd among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting and 219th by McKeen's.

* Played prep hockey at Delta Academy before advancing to the major junior level.
Scouting Reports:
"The tools are definitely there... to develop into a quality two-way defender. His mobility is considered an asset. He shows flashes of being able to start the breakout and contribute offensively. He occasionally plays with some snarl in the defensive zone. However, he is inconsistent and is not yet the sum of his parts." -- Brock Otten, McKeen's
" I try to play a two-way game. This year was really exciting for me to be a top guy on my team. I'm pretty happy with this season." -- Ethan Samson
Meltzer's Take:
"Lots room for this player to grow into his game. The tools are there. He makes some passes that suggest higher-level ability to hit teammates in stride. There's some physicality to his game, too. Had he been born 23 days later, he'd have been too young to qualify for this year's Draft."
OWEN MCLAUGHIN -- Seventh Round (206th overall)
POSITION: C
TEAM/LEAGUE:USNTDP (USHL)
VITALS: 6'0", 165 lbs.
BIRTHDATE:March 25, 2003
BIRTHPLACE: Spring City, PA
SHOOTS:Left

* The Chester County native and Valley Forge Minutemen product was ranked 119th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting.
* McLaughlin dressed in 11 total games for the United States National Team Development Program's under-18 squad in 2020-21. He also appeared in 33 prep school level games for Mount St. Charles Academy (16g, 38a).
* McLaughlin is committed to Penn State University, starting in 2022-23.
Scouting Report:
"Tom Minton from our office (director of analytics and hockey information) covers a lot of the Boston and New England area and saw him at Mount Saint Charles. The fact that he's from this area is even better. He's going to Sioux City next year in the USHL and then to Penn State. Making the jump from the high school level. He's a talented kid at the high school level. Obviously, he's going to have a little bit longer path but a highly skilled kid. He's going to have to put on weight and get stronger. I know (Penn State head coach) Guy Gadowski very well. When guys come out of there, they're bigger and stronger. So he's going to a good place. Obviously, it's close by to here, and we're excited to see where he can get to."
Meltzer's Take:
"McLaughlin got his feet wet with the USNTDP this year, which was a taste of what it's like to play among the best players in the country who are his age. The intermediate step of the USHL before he goes to play Division I collegiate hockey should help him considerably as he steps up from the high school level to the NCAA. The Flyers can be very patient with his development. There's a five-year evaluation window on him, and a lot can happen development-wise between now and the end of the 2005-26 season."
