1. IT'S BEEN A WHILE
The Flyers have seen the Devils the least amount of times this season - having played them just twice back in January and both on the road... The Devils are also the only East Division team to have not played at the Wells Fargo Center this year... The Flyers won both games and have earned wins in five of their last six meetings... The Flyers have scored five of their eight total goals in the series in the third period... No player on the Devils has more than a point in the season series with 11 skaters registering points, while Claude Giroux leads the Flyers with four points (1g-3a) in the two games.
2. A VISIT WITH THE DEVIL
The Devils come into tonight's game having won three of their last four and have earned points in four of their last five, going 3-1-1... Seven of the Devils last nine games have been decided by one goal and eight of their 11 total wins this season have been one-goal decisions... A Devils defenseman has scored a goal in three of their last four games and have accounted for 13 points (3g-10a) in that five-game span... The Devils have six rookies that have combined for 51 points this season (20g-31a), which leads all NHL teams this year.
3. NO REST FOR THE WEARY
The Flyers play the second of games on back-to-back nights for the sixth time this season, going 4-1-0 in second games... It's also the third straight time the Flyers have played a back-to-back against a rested opponent... This is also the fifth game in seven days, seventh game in 11 days and 13th game in 22 days that began the Flyers month of March... The Flyers look to bounce back after two straight losses, but have still not dropped three in-a-row this season, going a perfect 5-0-0 in games after two straight losses and have scored at least four goals in each of those five games.
4. POWER OUTAGE
The Flyers have not scored on the power play in four straight games, going 0-for-10, after going four straight games with a goal on the man advantage prior to that (5-for-14)... The Flyers have not gone five straight without a power-play goal since 2019 (6 straight: Nov. 30-Dec. 14) ... The Devils come in with the NHL's worst penalty kill, operating just over 70% (70.9%), and are 28th on their power-play at just 13.4% and have scored just three power-play goals in their last 13 games (3-for-35).
5. PLAYERS TO WATCH
FLYERS (LW: #23 - Oskar Lindblom)
Playing on a line with Claude Giroux and Jake Voracek, Lindblom has posted three goals in his last three games, including a game-winner... He has six shots on goal in his last three, which is more than he had in his previous six contests... Lindblom has one assist this season against NJ and has four points (1g-3a) in eight career games vs. Devils.
DEVILS (C: #59 - Janne Kuokkanen)
The 22-year-old rookie, who was acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes for Sami Vatanen last year and are now teammates, has 13 points (5g-8a) in 24 games for the Devils, but has recorded nearly half of those points in the last eight games, recording four goals and seven points to go along with a +6 rating since Mar. 8.
