1. DOUBLE EIGHTS
Tonight, Lindros becomes apart of .01 percent of Flyers to have their jersey retired in franchise history - There have been 604 players who have played for the Flyers franchise and he becomes just the sixth player to have his jersey number retired... A member of both the Flyers and Hockey Hall of Fame, Lindros is a six-time NHL All-Star, four-time Bobby Clarke Trophy winner as team MVP, won the Hart Trophy and Ted Lindsay Trophy as NHL MVP in 1995 and is first in Flyers history in points-per-game average: 1.35 points per game... In total, he has 290 goals, 369 assists and 695 points in 486 games, and added 57 points (24g-33a) in 50 Stanley Cup Playoff games, which included three trips to the Conference Finals and a trip to the Stanley Cup Final in 1997.

2. FEELING SWEEPY
This is the third and final meeting of the year against Toronto - the Flyers took the two previous meetings by a score of 4-2... Brian Elliott won both games for the Flyers with Giroux (2g-1a), Laughton (1g-2a) and Couturier (1g-2a) leading the team in scoring with three points... The Flyers haven't swept a season series against the Maple Leafs since the 2011-12 season when they went 4-0-0 and are looking to go perfect against Toronto for just the fourth time in a three-game or more season series in franchise history.
3. HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS
The Flyers are coming off a 5-1 loss at NY to the Rangers, which snapped their four-game win streak - the Flyers own a 4-1-2 record in games after they have lost the previous game by three or more goals... Despite dropping their last game, the Flyers still own a three-game win streak on home ice, where they have outscored the opposition, 16-8, and have won seven of their last nine games at the Wells Fargo Center... They have recorded a goal on the power play in each of their last three home games (5-for-12, 41.6%) and have scored on the man advantage in six of their last seven on home ice (9-for-29, 31%).
4. THE LEAF BLUEPRINT
The Flyers play their third straight opponent looking to snap a three-game (or more) losing skid as Toronto comes into tonight winless in their last three (0-1-2) and have dropped six of their last eight contests... The Leafs have also played a lot of minutes recently with four of their last five games being decided past regulation play... Despite the skid, Toronto is tied for fourth in the NHL in goals scored (143)... Toronto also plays its first road game of the New Year after completing a six-game homestand and are the second-best team in the NHL on the road at killing penalties, operating at 86.7 percent.
5. PLAYERS TO WATCH:
FLYERS (C: #21 - Scott Laughton)
Through 44 games this season, Laughton has already matched his career high in goals (7) and the Flyers own a 4-1-0 record when he records a goal... Laughton loves playing against his hometown Toronto Maple Leafs - He has recorded points in three of his last four games and averages a point per-game in his career against the Leafs with six points (2g-4a) in six games.
MAPLE LEAFS (C: #34 - Auston Matthews)
The Toronto superstar missed the last game vs. Flyers with an injury but has returned to the lineup for the last 10 games - he has six goals and seven points in that span despite going scoreless in his last three games... He leads the team in overall scoring with 33 points and a plus-minus rating of plus-15... He is also tied (with James van Riemsdyk) with 19 goals in 33 games... The #1 overall pick from the 2016 Draft has just two points (both assists) in four games against the Flyers.
