FIVE SIGNINGS

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today the following free agent signings, according to President of Hockey Operations and General Manager, Chuck Fletcher.

The Flyers have signed goaltender Troy Grosenick to a one-year, one-way contract worth an average annual value (AAV) of $750K.

Grosenick, 32 (8/27/1989), spent last season, 2021-22, with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League. He posted a 16-6-6 record to go along with a .933 save percentage and 2.00 goals against-average, both of which were best in the League, in 30 appearances.

Throughout his AHL career, Grosenick has a 149-91-40 record with a lifetime 2.50 GAA and .914 save percentage in parts of nine seasons with the Sharks affiliate in Worcester and San Jose Barracuda, Milwaukee Admirals, Ontario Reign and Providence Bruins. He won the Baz Bastien Memorial Award in 2017 for AHL Goaltender of the Year.

Throughout his career, he also has five appearances in the National Hockey League with the San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Kings, going 2-2-0 with a 2.27 GAA and .933 save percentage.

The Flyers have signed defenseman Louis Belpedio to a one-year, two-way contract worth an average annual value (AAV) of $750K.

Belpedio, 26 (5/14/1996), spent all of 2021-22 with the Montreal Canadiens' AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket, where he posted 30 points (11g-19a) in 69 regular season games. He added 10 points (2g-8a) in 15 Calder Cup Playoff games.

He has appeared in four games in the NHL, all with the Wild, where he recorded two assists.

A native of Skokie, Illinois, he was drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the third round (80th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft held in Philadelphia.

The Flyers have signed defenseman Kevin Connauton to a two-year, two-way contract worth an average annual value (AAV) of $762,500.

Connauton, 32 (2/23/1990), split time last season with the Philadelphia Flyers and Florida Panthers. He registered one goal and two assists for three points in 26 games for the Flyers. He spent parts of the last two seasons in the Panthers organization and appeared in 13 games this season and seven games in 2020-21 where he recorded one assist.

Over parts of nine seasons in the NHL, he has posted 77 points (27g-50a) in 334 regular season games and an average of 15:53 of ice time with the Dallas Stars (2013-14 to 2014-15), Columbus Blue Jackets (2014-15 to 2015-16), Arizona Coyotes (2015-16 to 2018-19), Colorado Avalanche (2019-20) and Panthers (2020-21 to 2021-22). He has also appeared in eight Stanley Cup Playoff games recording one assist.

The 6-2, 205-pound blue liner is also a veteran of 261 American Hockey League games over parts of six seasons. He has 118 points (39g-79a) with the Manitoba Moose (2010-11), Chicago Wolves (2011-12 to 2012-13), Texas Stars (2012-13 to 2013-14), Tuscon Roadrunners (2016-17) and Colorado Eagles (2019-20).

A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Connauton was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The Flyers have signed forward Cooper Marody to a two-year, two-way contract worth an average annual value (AAV) of $762,500.

Marody, 25 (12/20/1996), spent a majority of last season with the American Hockey League affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, the Bakersfield Condors, where he averaged over a point per-game with 55 points (21g-34a) in 52 regular season games.

He also has experience with the Oilers, appearing in seven games over two seasons recording one assist.

A native of Brighton, Michigan, Marody was originally drafted by the Flyers in the sixth round (158th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

The Flyers have signed forward Adam Brooks to a two-year, two-way contract worth an average annual value (AAV) of $762,500.

Brooks, 26 (5/6/1996), split time the past season, 2021-22, with Montreal Canadiens, Vegas Golden Knights and Winnipeg Jets. He had an assist in four games with the Canadiens and posted two goals in seven games with Vegas and appeared in 14 games with the Jets.

The 6-0, 179-pound center also recorded three assists in five regular season games with their American Hockey League affiliate, the Henderson Silver Knights.

In parts of four seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, Brooks registered 42 goals and 50 assists for 92 points in 164 regular season games. He appeared in 33 Calder Cup Playoff games for the Marlies in two postseason campaigns, racking up 8 goals and 6 assists for 14 points.

A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Brooks was drafted by the Maple Leafs in the fourth round (92nd overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
