The camp will consist of on-ice sessions for the first two days and end with two rookie games vs. New York Rangers. The Flyers rookies will take on the Rangers rookies on back-to-back days beginning Friday, Sept. 18 at the MSG Training Center in Tarrytown, NY and the following day, Saturday, Sept. 19, at Flyers Training Center.
Expected attendees include first-round draft picks Tyson Foerster (2020), Morgan Frost (2017) and Cam York (2019); several others who have made their debut in the NHL such as Wade Allison, Jackson Cates, Tanner Laczynski, Maksim Sushko and Egor Zamula. A complete Rookie Camp roster is attached to this release.
The Rookie Camp precedes the Flyers main training camp, which will begin on Wed., Sept. 22 with on-ice sessions beginning on Thu., Sept. 23. More information about the main camp will be announced at a later date.
UPDATED FAN AND MEDIA ACCESS FOR FLYERS PRE-SEASON CAMPS
FAN ATTENDANCE: The Flyers Training Center will be closed to fans during Rookie Camp from Sept. 16-19, but the team will welcome fans back to the facility when training camp begins on Thursday, Sept. 23. Final information about health and safety precautions for fans will be released closer to training camp.
MEDIA ATTENDANCE: The Flyers will host in-person media availabilities during Rookie Camp and Training Camp in the main press conference room on the second floor. In addition, the Flyers media workroom will be available for use as space permits. The club will also make press conferences available through ZOOM for those who cannot attend in-person. TV cameras & still photography will also be allowed to film/shoot practice from the glass inside the rink at certain locations.
