The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that the club will host its annual Military Appreciation Night presented by Toyota on Monday, May 10 at 7 p.m. during their final home game of the 2020-2021 season against the New Jersey Devils. This season marks the eighth consecutive year Toyota has been the presenting sponsor for the Flyers' Military Appreciation game.

Courtesy of Toyota, all fans who attend Monday's game will receive a camouflage Flyers rally towel with a space to fill in who they "salute" in honor of Military Appreciation.

Monday night's event will include a moment of honor to celebrate all active military members and veterans and show thanks for their service. The Flyers will also recognize a number of individuals throughout the in-game programming with live recognitions.

The Flyers will recognize the following veterans as Toyota's honorary captains of the game:

Patrick Murphy - Former Under Secretary of the Army
Patrick Murphy is an Army veteran and former Under Secretary of the Army. Murphy served twice overseas for deployments in Tuzla, Bosnia and Baghdad, Iraq, earning a Bronze Star for his service. Murphy became the nation's first Iraq War Veteran elected to Congress, representing Pennsylvania's 1st congressional district. Murphy has been a Hiring Our Heroes Toyota Ambassador since 2017.

Bradley Snyder - Lieutenant, U.S. Navy
Bradley Snyder is a retired Navy veteran and Paralympian, who was blinded after stepping on an improvised explosive device (IED) while serving abroad in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Since leaving the service, Bradley has participated twice in the Paralympics for swimming and become a seven-time medalist, earning five gold and two silver medals for his talents. Brad Snyder has been a Hiring Our Heroes Toyota Ambassador since 2019.

Ron Green - Sergeant Major, U.S. Marine Corps
Ron Green is a veteran and former 18th Sergeant Major for the Marine Corps, where he served for more than 36 years, before retiring in 2019. His personal awards include His personal awards include the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit with gold star, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with four gold stars, and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars. Ron Green has been a Hiring Our Heroes Toyota Ambassador since 2019.

The Flyers will also honor the following service members as part of their Frontline Heroes program:

Kyle Rojas Gonzalez - Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps
Kyle Rojas Gonzalez serves as a shift leader managing the day-to-day operations of eight Marines under his charge at the Pennsylvania Convention Center to support community vaccine administration.

John McDonald - Hospital Corpsman 1st Class, U.S. Navy
John McDonald serves as a team leader in the observation section to support patient medical needs after receiving a vaccine at the Pennsylvania Convention Center to support community vaccine administration.

Brian Bean - Staff Sergeant, Pennsylvania Army National Guard
Brian Bean serves as the noncommissioned officer-in-charge of the Army National Guard detachment at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, supporting community vaccine administration. SSG Bean has 18 total years of military service in the U.S. Coast Guard, Air Force, and the Pennsylvania National Guard.

Steve Neidert - Technical Sergeant, Pennsylvania Air National Guard
Steve Neidert serves as the noncommissioned officer-in-charge of the Air National Guard detachment at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in support of community vaccine administration. TSgt Neidert has 30 total years of military service in the Marine Corps Reserve and Pennsylvania National Guard.

Flyers Charities will also present the Philadelphia Flyers Warriors Hockey program with a check for $5,000 to help support the programming and resources needed to run their teams. The Flyers Warriors teams are affiliated with USA Hockey's Warrior Hockey, a program dedicated to injured and disabled U.S. Military Veterans who have served their country.

The Flyers and Toyota have also donated game tickets to local military organizations through the club's Community Ticket Grant program.
