"Having been a part of this process, I believe this is an outstanding way to engage and really connect with our fans," said Keith Jones, President of Hockey Operations for the Philadelphia Flyers. "What's exciting to me is that we've consistently said we are going to build this team the right way and with this series, we are telling that story in real time as it is unfolding."
"This is a new era for our franchise, and one of our top priorities is for our fans to see what's happening behind the scenes and understand the vision that Jonesy and Danny have for our team," said Valerie Camillo, President and CEO of Spectacor Sports and Entertainment. "Our fans have made it clear that they want to be part of this rebuild every step of the way, and one of the best ways for us to do that is by giving them an all-access pass during this critical offseason."
Coming off the heels of the success of the team's 2022 offseason docuseries, The Standard, which provided a behind-the-scenes look into players' offseason preparation under Head Coach John Tortorella, the Liftoff series will continue to provide unprecedented access to Flyers players and leadership.
The docuseries will be produced by the Philadelphia Flyers' in-house content shop On The Fly Productions. The On The Fly Productions team has created a wide array of award-winning, creative content including the New Heights series which highlights individuals who are breaking barriers and inspiring change in Philadelphia's hockey community; Beyond the Boards, which highlighted players' offseason training last summer; and much more. On the Fly Productions has won three Emmys since its inception in 2021.
Full episodes of Liftoff will be released periodically on the Flyers Official YouTube Channel and PhiladelphiaFlyers.com. Follow @NHLFlyers on Twitter for updates.
