PHILADELPHIA (November 17, 2022) -On Monday, November 21, the Philadelphia Flyers will host their annual Hockey Fights Cancer Night presented by Toyota as the club hits the ice against the Calgary Flames at 7 p.m. As part of the league-wide initiative and in partnership with Toyota, the Flyers will turn Wells Fargo Center lavender in support of the fight against cancer.

During the game, coaches, broadcasters and Flyers front office executives will wear special lavender cancer ribbons and pins to show their support. Flyers players will also wear their classic, lavender-accented Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys and use sticks wrapped in lavender tape during warmups. A select number of lavender warmup jerseys and wrapped sticks will be available for auction with all proceeds benefitting Flyers Charities following the game. . Flyers Charities will also be selling special Hockey Fight Cancer mystery pucks for $35 throughout the evening.

Additionally, all fans will receive an "I Fight For…" rally towel courtesy of Toyota, with a space to write in the name of a loved one impacted by cancer. Wells Fargo Center's ice-level dasher boards and arena LEDs will also turn lavender. Completing the arena's Hockey Fights Cancer-themed makeover, "I Fight For…" cards filled out by Flyers players and coaching staff will line the player tunnel walls.

Throughout the evening, the Flyers will host and honor a number of special guests who have been impacted by cancer during pre-game ceremonies and in-game recognitions. The Flyer will also host several families from the Philadelphia area who are impacted by cancer, and those families will also watch pregame warm-ups from the Flyers bench.

As part of the monthly Flyers Press Pass initiative, and in partnership with broadcaster Jim Jackson and Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, the Flyers will host 11-year-old cancer survivor Cam Wakeley and his family at Monday's game. Wakeley was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma at the age of six and in May of 2018, he completed his chemotherapy treatments and received word his scans were clear. As the Flyers' and Jim Jackson's special guest, Wakeley and his family will watch the game from a private broadcasting booth on press row, take a pre-game Zamboni ride, and visit with special guests, including Gritty and Flyers players.

The Flyers have also provided the following local organizations with complimentary tickets to the game through the club's Community Ticket Grant Program:
Toyota will also donate $5,000 to Flyers Charities in support of their partnership with Ronald McDonald House Philadelphia. Also in support of the night's cause, Flyers Charities will be announcing the recipient of their $100,000 grant which will support a local cancer initiative. More details to be announced.
