The Flyers staged a small-scale practice on Monday, before the team plays the Boston Bruins at the Wells Fargo Center tonight. Below are news & notes to come out of the morning skate:
* Anthony Stolarz, who will be the backup in goal on Monday night, also took part in the hour-long practice.
* Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol gave an indication of who will not only be in the lineup, but some combinations to watch, most notably the top line... Once again, the Flyers are taking a look at rookie hopeful Mikhail Vorobyev on a skilled line. He will step in between Claude Giroux and Travis Konecny in Monday's game.
* Another line to take note of is Corban Knight centering Scott Laughton and Michael Raffl. Knight has appeared in two preseason games thus far and was a part of a successful line combination, recording a goal and two assists playing alongside Laughton in their 6-4 win over the Rangers on Sept. 19.

* Veteran forward Michael Raffl, who can play any forward position, will play right wing. Hakstol said he has been pleased with Raffl throughout camp in a competitive environment.

Flyers GM Ron Hextall stated in Sunday's media availability that cuts would most likely come on Tuesday, which only magnifies the importance of this game to some players in the lineup.
HAKSTOL: "I haven't lept to any conclusion yet in terms of the roster moves, whether there is some needed or not. We have to play tonight first to see what it tells us. It will tell us a little bit more and give us more information."
* Also returning to action will be defenseman Andrew MacDonald, who returns early from an injury he suffered in the late summer months that was originally supposed to keep him out until after the regular season had already started. Flyers GM Ron Hextall told the media on Sunday that he wouldn't be surprised if he got into a preseason game. Looks like that will be tonight.
* In net, Brian Elliott will share duties with Anthony Stolarz. Elliott, who has appeared in just one period so far this preseason, will get the start.
* Travis Sanheim also skated as he recovers from an upper-body injury that has sidelined him for an early portion of camp. Sanheim spoke to the media about his status.
SANHEIM: "I know it's only preseason, but I think everybody likes to play and likes to be with the group, getting better and learning the systems."
