Islanders Children’s Foundation Community Leadership Scholarship

The Islanders Children’s Foundation has dedicated its efforts to being an integral part of the community. One of the goals of the Foundation is to assist and raise awareness and support for various causes. The Islanders Children’s Foundation has created a scholarship for graduating high school seniors who have made a profound impact on his/her/their community. This scholarship rewards students who demonstrate hard work, perseverance, leadership and community involvement. This scholarship awards five (5) individuals in the amount of $5K each.

Applicants must:

  • Be a Metro NY high school senior demonstrating readiness to attend a two- or four-year college or university upon graduation
  • Be a goal-oriented individual with a clear vision for their future
  • Possess leadership qualities and a good work ethic
  • Have a commitment to serve their family, school and community
  • Lead by example
  • Have a passion for improving others lives through their own means, abilities and life

Additional required documents:

  1. Please submit at least two, but not more than three, letters of recommendation from a coach, teacher, guidance counselor, advisor, or employer with your application
  2. Up-to-date copy of unofficial transcript from your high school guidance counselor
