Beauvillier Agrees to Two-Year Contract

The New York Islanders announced today forward Anthony Beauvillier has agreed to terms on a two-year contract.
Beauvillier, 22, scored 28 points (18 goals and 10 assists) in 81 games last season. He also played in all eight playoff games, scoring a goal and an assist. In 218 NHL games, Beauvillier has scored 88 points (48 goals and 40 assists).

The Islanders selected the Sorel-Tracy, Quebec native in the first round, 28th overall, of the 2015 National Hockey League Draft.
The 5'11, 182-pound forward, averaged well over a point-per-game with 206 (91 goals, 115 assists) in 178 QMJHL games. He also scored 37 points (17 goals and 20 assists) in 32 QMJHL playoff games. Beauvillier was named one of the captains for Team Cherry at the 2015 BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.
On the international stage, Beauvillier represented Team Canada at the 2018 World Championship, totaling three points (two goals and one assist) in nine games. He also won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and a bronze medal with Canada at the 2015 World Under-18 Championships. Beauvillier served as an alternate captain for Team Quebec at the 2014 World Under-17 Championships, recording four points (two goals, two assists) in six games.
