The New York Islanders look to rebound against the Calgary Flames on Monday night after their five-game win streak came to an end in a 3-0 shutout loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday.
The Flames enter Monday night's contest on a four-game winless streak (0-3-1), most recently falling 4-3 in overtime against the New Jersey Devils.

Both teams are playing the opening game of a back-to-back, with the Islanders facing the New York Rangers on Tuesday and the Flames facing the Devils. Head Coach Lane Lambert said after the loss to the Red Wings that he wants to see the team play faster.
"To have 30 shot attempts in the first two periods and then end the game with 63, clearly we didn't get to our game and move the puck quick enough in the first two periods," Lambert said.
The Islanders have dropped four straight games to the Flames, including the inaugural game at UBS Arena last season.

7PM PUCK DROP

Puck drop for tonight's game is at 7PM, which is an earlier start time than usual. Please plan your travel to UBS Arena accordingly to catch all of the action on the ice.

Huberdeau has just five points (1G, 4A) in 10 games so far this year after a 115-point (30G, 85A) season last year. Weegar has four assists in 10 games and leads the team with 19 blocks.

    - The Flames returned the goaltending tandem that allowed the third fewest goals against in the NHL last season. Jacob Markstrom, a Vezina Trophy finalist last year, has posted a .900 save percentage and a 2.84 GAA in eight starts, and Vladar has posted an .865 save percentage with a 3.81 GAA in three appearances.
    - Rasmus Andersson averages 24:34 TOI/game, the 13th highest in the NHL. Andersson has eight points (1G, 7A) in ten games so far this season, after a 50-point (4G, 46A) campaign last year.
