Liukas, the Islanders' 2021 fifth-round pick (157th overall), netted the game-winner, and series-clinching goal, off a feed from Intonen Aarne to make it 2-0 in the third period in Saturday's Game 6 matchup.
Liukas and TPS will face the top-seeded Tappara in the Liiga finals, with Game 1 set for Wednesday. Tappara defeated KooKoo in the semifinals in five games, winning four straight after dropping Game 1.
Liukas has four goals in 13 playoff games.

DUFOUR SETS SEA DOGS RECORDS:

William Dufour became the first player in the QMJHL to score 50 goals this season, burying his milestone goal in a matchup against Cape Breton on Saturday. Dufour also broke the Saint John Sea Dogs franchise record for single-season points on Saturday, passing Jonathan Huberdeau's previous mark of 105 points, set in 2010-11.
Drafted in the fifth round of the 2020 Draft by the Islanders, Dufour leads the QMJHL in goals (52) and points (109), while tying for first in power-play goals (17). The Sea Dogs are currently on a nine-game win streak, coming off a road trip (3-0-0). In that span, Dufour had four goals and collected three assists.
The Sea Dogs have a record of 41-17-1-3 with six games remaining in the regular season. Dufour and the Sea Dogs secured a spot in the 2022 President Cup Playoffs.

ISKHAKOV ADVANCES TO DEL SEMIFINALS:

Ruslan Iskhakov and Adler Mannheim advanced to the Deutsche Eishockey Liga semifinals after beating the Straubing Tigers three games to one in a best-of-five series.
Mannheim will face the top-seeded Eisbären Berlin in the semifinals starting on Wednesday. Former Islander Frans Nielsen currently plays for Berlin. Iskhakov, the Islanders 2018 second-round pick (43rd overall), played in three of the four games against Straubing, recording one assist.
