Here are this week's updates on the Islanders prospects:

TWO-GOAL GAME FOR MIRAGEAS

Benjamin Mirageas posted a two-goal performance for the Providence College Friars in their weekend series sweep over Princeton. Mirageas scored his second and third goals of the season in Providence's 7-0 rout over Princeton on Dec. 10.
Through 14 games this season, the Islanders' 2017 third rounder (77th overall) now has three goals.
Mirageas and Providence are ranked fourth overall in Hockey East with a 6-5-0 record and sit 16th overall in the NCAA with a 12-7-0 overall record.


PIVONKA MAKES SEASON DEBUT WITH NOTRE DAME

After suffering an injury during offseason training, Jake Pivonka made his senior season debut for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish over the weekend.
The Islanders' 2018 fourth rounder (103rd overall) suited up in both games of Notre Dame's weekend series against the Michigan State Spartans, where they split the set with a 3-2 comeback win on Dec. 10 and a 1-0 loss on Dec. 11. Pivonka didn't register a point in either meeting.
Pivonka and the Fighting Irish rank third overall in Big Ten standings with a 6-4-0 conference record and are ranked eighth overall in the NCAA with an overall record of 12-5-0.

JEFFERIES PRODUCES FOUR POINTS IN EXHIBITION WIN OVER USNTDP

Alex Jefferies recorded a four-point outing (2G, 2A) for the Merrimack Warriors in their 8-2 exhibition win over the U.S. National Team Development Program squad on Dec. 12.
Jefferies scored twice en route to the dominant win by Merrimack and also dished out two helpers.
Through 13 regular season games with Merrimack, the Islanders' 2020 fourth rounder (121st overall) has seven points (3G, 4A). Jefferies and Merrimack are ranked eighth overall in the Hockey East standings with 3-7-0 conference record and boast a 6-9-0 overall record.


LENNOX IMPROVES RECORD WITH FIFTH WIN OF THE SEASON

Tristian Lennox improved his record to 5-6-0 with the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League.
The Islanders' 2021 third rounder (93rd overall) backstopped Saginaw to a 5-3 victory over Erie on Dec. 11. Lennox made 27 saves on 30 shots in the win and in doing so, earned the third star of the game honors.
Along with his 5-6-0 record, the left-catch has a 2.71 GAA and a .895 SV%. Lennox and Saginaw are ranked ninth overall in the Western conference with a 11-11-1 record.


RATY NAMED TO TEAM FINLAND WJC TEAM

Aatu Räty was named to Team Finland's 2022 World Junior Championship (WJC) roster last Wednesday. The annual junior showcase will take place in Edmonton and Red Deer, AB, beginning on Dec. 26, 2021, and will conclude on Jan. 5, 2022.
An outbreak of COVID-19 cases struck Räty's team with Jukurit in Liiga, Finland's top tier professional ice hockey league, which resulted in the team having to quarantine. In addition to the team quarantine, Jukurit's schedule has been postponed in the meantime.
There has not been an update on how or if the COVID-19 outbreak will affect Räty's status with Team Finland.


DUFOUR NOT NAMED TO TEAM CANADA'S WJC TEAM

William Dufour was one of 35 players named to Canada's selection camp for the World Juniors. After exhibition play, Dufour was not named to the 25-player final team announced by Team Canada on Monday morning.
