Here are this week's updates on Islander prospects:

George earned two points (1G, 1A) in Wednesday's 4-2 victory over the Erie Otters, including a primary assist on the game winner and an empty netter to ice the game. In a seven-goal performance by the Knights on Friday, George scored a goal and earned the third star of the game. His productive week continued with an assist in the most recent Knights 4-1 victory over the Sarnia Sting on Saturday. The 18-year-old defenseman has 35 points (10G, 25A) in 35 career games played.
The Knights hold the top spot in the Midwest Division of the Ontario Hockey League, with a record of 23-8-1. The Knights will take on the Guelph Storm on Tuesday night at 7pm.


MATT MAGGIO TIED FOR TOP SPOT IN GOALS IN THE OHL

Matt Maggio concluded 2022 at the top of the Ontario Hockey League standings with 26 goals, tied for first in the league.
The Islanders' 2022 fifth-round pick (142nd overall) has been on fire for the Windsor Spitfires as of late, extending his point streak to 11 games (13G, 7A).

The Spitfires won eight of their last 10 games, including a 5-4 OT winner against the Kitchener Rangers on New Year's Eve at FCU Center. Maggio had the primary assist on Michael Renwick's goal to make it 4-4, forcing overtime.
Maggio and the Spitfires will look for their third straight win on Wednesday night, when they host their division rival, the Saginaw Spirit at 7:05pm. The Spitfires are in second place in the West Division with 46 points, two points behind the Spirit with one game in-hand.
