GEORGE AND KNIGHTS ADVANCE

Isaiah George is headed to the Ontario Hockey League Finals for the first time in his career.

The London Knights beat the Sarnia Sting in six games to punch their ticket to the OHL Finals, where they'll take on the Peterborough Petes on home ice. Game One is slated for Thursday.

The Knights closed out their series with the Sting with a commanding 5-1 win on Sunday.

George, the Islanders' 2022 fourth-round pick (98th overall), registered one point through 14 games in his first career OHL playoff run. The 19-year-old defenseman has taken 13 shots over that span.

KUEFLER AND BLAZERS ELIMINATED FROM WHL PLAYOFFS

Daylan Kuefler's season with the Kamloops Blazers came to an end on Monday night with a 4-2 loss against the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL Western Conference Final. The Blazers fell in six games.

The Islanders' 2022 sixth-round pick (174th overall) had an assist in the loss and concluded his postseason with seven points (3G, 4A) through 13 games.

FINLEY LIGHTS THE LAMP

Quinn Finley and the Chicago Steel trail the best-of-five series two games to one to the Youngstown Phantoms in the Eastern Conference Final.

The Islanders' 2022 third round pick (78th overall) continues to produce offensively for the Steel, burying the game-winner in Saturday's 5-2 Game Two victory that tied the series.

The 18-year-old is second on the team in points (2G, 2A) and leads in game-winning goals (2). Finley played five games in his second career postseason run, his first with Chicago.

Finley and the Steel will look to keep their season alive on Tuesday, with Game Four slated for 6:05 p.m.
