Here are this week's updates on Islander prospects:

Jefferies followed up that effort with a three-assist night against Colgate on Oct. 21. Jefferies The Islanders' 2020 fourth-round pick (121st overall) earned primary assists on Merrimack's first two goals, and a secondary assist on their fifth goal in the 5-0 shutout victory.
Jefferies earned his sixth point in just three games with a primary assist on the power play on Merrimack's first goal of a 5-3 loss to Colgate on Oct. 22. In total, he has seven points (2G, 5A) in five games this season.
Merrimack's record sits at 3-2, and the team is undefeated in one game in Hockey East play.

KUEFLER'S THREE POINT WEEKEND

Daylan Kuefler is on a seven-game point streak to start his season with the Kamloops Blazers, and he added three more in three games against the Winnipeg Ice, Prince George Cougars and Vancouver Giants this weekend.
Kuefler's goal against the Ice came on the power play, bringing the Blazers within two. The Blazers would bring it to got within one, but were eventually defeated 5-3.
Kuefler The Islanders' 2022 sixth-round pick (174th overall) earned an assist on a game-tying goal for the Blazers in the third against the Cougars, but the Blazers were defeated 4-3 in overtime. Kuefler also earned an assist on a third period goal in a 6-3 loss to the Giants, bringing his season point total up to 10 (5G, 5A).

MACHU LIGHTS THE LAMP

Tomas Machu scored his first goal of the season and first goal in the USHL in a weekend series over the Chicago Steel. Machu's point shot goal brought the Youngstown Phantoms within one in the third period, but the Phantoms never fully closed the gap and were defeated 5-4.
The goal was Machu's second point of the game, after earning a primary assist on a goal from his deflected point shot in the first period.
