The Islanders currently have four prospects: Eetu Liukas, Aleksi Malinen, Matias Rajaniemi,
and Aatu Raty who play for teams in Liiga, Finland's top professional league.
Liukas, who the Islanders selected 157th overall (fifth round) at the 2021 NHL Draft, plays for TPS. The 19-year-old left winger has yet to produce a point through seven games with TPS, but has totaled five points (3G, 2A) through three games with TPS U20.
Liukas and TPS are ranked first overall in Liiga with a 7-0-3 record through 10 games.
Malinen (2021 sixth rounder, 189th overall) currently plays for JYP. The 18-year-old blueliner hasn't scored a point in three games with the team, but has registered five points (1G, 4A) through four games with JYP U20.
Malinen and TPS are ranked 13th overall in Liiga with 2-2-4 record
Rajaniemi (2020 sixth rounder, 183rd overall) plays with Pelicans in Liiga. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound defenseman has picked up one assist through nine games with the Pelicans and taken one penalty. Rajaniemi and the Pelicans are ranked third overall in Liiga with a 5-2-2 record.
Aatu Raty, who the Islanders drafted in the second round (52nd overall) at this year's NHL Draft, plays with Karpat. However, Raty joined the Islanders for training camp and has yet to debut with Karpat this season since returning to Finland.
