The New York Islanders announced details surrounding the upcoming jersey number retirements for John Tonelli and Butch Goring.
Tonelli will have his number 27 officially retired on Friday, Feb. 21 at NYCB Live: Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, when the Islanders take on the Detroit Red Wings. A special pregame banner raising ceremony celebrating the career of Tonelli will begin at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Pregame warmups will start at 7:21 p.m. with the official game time start taking place at 8 p.m.

Goring will have his number 91 sent to the rafters on Saturday, Feb. 29 at NYCB Live: Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, when the Islanders take on the Boston Bruins. A special pregame ceremony celebrating the career of Goring will begin at 11:40 a.m. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. Pregame warmups will start at 12:29 p.m. with the official game time start taking place at 1:08 p.m.
All fans in attendance will receive a commemorative mini Tonelli and Goring banner on their respective gamedays. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats early for both games. Former play-by-play voice, Jiggs McDonald will serve as the master of ceremonies for both ceremonies.
