Islanders, NHL® and adidas Unveil Third Jersey for the 2018-2019

The New York Islanders®, the National Hockey League (NHL®), and adidas unveiled today the new adidas adizero Authentic NHL third jerseys for the team's 2018-2019 season.
In collaboration with adidas, the New York Islanders joined with Adjective & Co. to create a third jersey that celebrates the Islanders' storied tradition while embracing an exciting future.

Creating a new signature look, the alternate jersey features a re-designed "NY" crest, modernized to be more symmetrical. The descending "Y" hockey stick has been shortened and strengthened to give it a more balanced appearance. The four iconic stripes have been moved down to the blade to prominently celebrate the Islanders' historic consecutive Stanley Cup® Championships. The jersey includes subtle nods to the team's heritage with a color palette, refined striping system, and orange numbering reminiscent of the team's inaugural 1972-1973 blue sweater. Other subtle details include a graphic of Long Island on the interior neckline, a designation of Long Island pride, and a block-lettered "ISLANDERS" moniker that sits just above the adidas logo on the exterior neckline.

At the forefront of innovation, design and craftsmanship, the adidas adizero Authentic NHL jersey takes the hockey sweater silhouette to the next level by redefining fit, feel, and lightweight construction. The adidas adizero Authentic NHL jersey is lighter, cooler, and stronger featuring adizero lightweight cresting and twill numbers, adidas Clima® technology and Aeroknit detailing, the platinum NHL Shield and an interior fight strap.
