Sebastian Aho was activated off IR on Wednesday afternoon, clearing the way for the defenseman to return to the lineup.
Aho has been out since Nov. 24, when he suffered an injury against the Ottawa Senators. It's a piece of good news for a banged-up Isles blue line that currently has Adam Pelech on Long Term Injured Reserve, Ryan Pulock on Injured Reserve and Scott Mayfield day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
Aho has four assists and 26 blocks in 19 games this season.
