Anthony Beauvillier and Oliver Wahlstrom practiced with the New York Islanders on Friday morning.
Both forwards previously entered COVID-19 protocol on Dec. 26. Beauvillier has eight points (4G, 4A) in 24 games this season, while Wahlstrom is second on the Islanders with 15 points (8G, 7A) in 26 games this season. Wahlstrom is also tied with Mathew Barzal for the team lead with seven power-play points.
Head Coach Barry Trotz said Beauvillier and Wahlstrom could "possibly" be available for Saturday's matinee against the Edmonton Oilers.
"One probably moreso than the other," Trotz said, not specifying which player.
Brock Nelson and Sebastian Aho are currently in COVID-19 protocol.
