Zdeno Chara rejoined the New York Islanders for practice on Tuesday morning.
The defenseman has been sidelined with upper-body injury for the past five games and is currently on injured reserve retroactive to Feb. 26. Chara has eight assists in 45 games with the Islanders, as well as a team-leading 73 penalty minutes.
Mathew Barzal, who has also missed five games with a lower-body injury, did not participate in the Islanders practice on Tuesday morning.
