Casey Cizikas and Tom Kuhnhackl have sustained injuries and left the Edmonton bubble, the New York Islanders announced on Sunday afternoon ahead of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

There is no update on the details, extent or severity of their injuries and recoveries at this time. An update will be provided at the conclusion of the season.
"It's part of the playoff run," Head Coach Barry Trotz said before the injuries were announced. "You could have people out. You have to have the 'next man up' mentality, that's all you can do."
Cizikas played in 18 games for the Islanders during this postseason run. The 29-year-old center compiled two assists, eight PIMs and a faceoff win percentage of 42.55% during that stretch.
Kuhnhackl suited up for three games during the Islanders Qualifying Round series against the Florida Panthers. The 28-year-old winger recorded one assist and was plus-two in that span.
"You have to have that 'next man up mentality,' but those guys are a big part of our team," Josh Bailey said. "Every team goes through different injuries. It's not something that you can dwell on. We want those guys in the lineup, but that's just the cards we were dealt right now."
