Johnston

The New York Islanders placed Casey Cizikas (upper body) on injured reserve on Friday morning and recalled forward Ross Johnston from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
Cizikas has missed three straight games since suffering an upper-body injury on Jan. 13 against the New York Rangers and while he skated with the Islanders during Thursday's optional morning skate, he's not ready to return. Cizikas joins Andrew Ladd (upper body), Nikolay Kulemin (upper body), Calvin de Haan (upper body) and Johnny Boychuk (lower body) as Islanders currently on injured reserve.
UPDATE: Boychuk and Cizikas practiced and will join team on road trip. Shane Prince is out with lower-body injury.

Johnston had 11 points (3G, 8A) in 34 games this season for the Sound Tigers this season and leads the American Hockey League with 113 penalty minutes. Johnston made his NHL debut with the Islanders at the end of the 2015-16 season, playing in the team's regular season finale against the Philadelphia Flyers.
"Ross is a big aggressive forward," Weight said. "It's something we're lacking right now I think. We'll see if he's going to be in or not. We have decisions to make."
Adding the Charlottetown, PEI native gives the Islanders 13 active forwards for their three-game Western road trip, beginning on Saturday night in Chicago.
