"I know how reverred Dale is in the Winnipeg community and especially the Winnipeg Jets," Trotz said. "When I was in Manitoba, and coaching at the University of Manitoba and in the junior leagues there, Dale Hawerchuk was an absolute superstar. Unfortunately, the Winnipeg Jets were in the division with the two best hockey teams in the NHL in the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames for a lot of years. Dale was - everything you hear about him, a quiet superstar. He was involved in the community, he was what you call a low-maintenance superstar, never wanted a lot of attention and he was a way better player than maybe he gets credit for and he's a Hall of Fame player as we know. He was really a centerpiece for that team for a long time."
