Isles Day to Day: Cory Schneider Recalled

Cory Schneider was an emergency recall from the Bridgeport Islanders on Sunday evening.
Schneider is 10-3-2 for Bridgeport this season with a 2.51 GAA and a .927 SV%. Schneider's 10 wins are tied for the third-most in the AHL this season.
The recall comes one day after Semyon Varlamov left the Islanders 5-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights in the third period with an undisclosed issue and did not return.
Schneider played one game for the Islanders last season, scoring a win over the New Jersey Devils, his first NHL start since March 6, 2020 and his first win in over two calendar years.
The Islanders take on the Colorado Avalanche on Monday and have a back-to-back set against the New York Rangers and Florida Panthers on Dec. 22 and 23 respectively.
