Hudson Fasching rejoined the Islanders for practice on Thursday, skating with the team for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury on Jan. 25 against Montreal.
Fasching has eight points (3G, 5A) in 35 games this season, along with 37 hits and 21 blocked shots.
Fasching said he felt good going through Thursday's skate, but would leave any updates about his status to the coaching staff. Head Coach Patrick Roy did not have an update after practice.
BARZAL TAKES MAINTENANCE DAY
Mathew Barzal took his second straight maintenance day on Thursday. Roy said he was confident Barzal would be available for Sunday's game.
