Andy Andreoff

The New York Islanders announced that Jean-Gabriel Pageau was placed on IR (Retroactive to Feb. 11) with an upper-body injury. Andy Andreoff, who skated with the team on Thursday, was recalled on loan from the Bridgeport Islanders.
Pageau was a late scratch ahead of Tuesday's contest against the Ottawa Senators. The 30-year-old center has 29 points (10G, 19A) through 56 games played this season. Pageau has been reliable in the faceoff dot for the Islanders, with a team-leading 56.5 FOW%.

Andreoff played six games with the Islanders in the 2021-22 season, recording a goal. In his second season with Bridgeport, Andreoff collected 38 points (20G, 18A) and leads the team in goals.

"I feel a little more comfortable," Andreoff said of having prior experience with the Islanders last season. "It helps having played with a couple guys in camp. I was out there with a lot of great players."
The 31-year-old center spent parts of four seasons with the Los Angeles Kings and Philadelphia Flyers and their respective minor league affiliates, making his debut in the 2014-15 season with the Kings. Andreoff posted 26 career points (14G, 12A) in 185 NHL appearances.
"He's having a good year," Head Coach Lane Lambert said of Andreoff. "He's played in every situation there and has done a really good job. So he's certainly a guy that has some veteran experience."
