Cizikas and Kuhnhackl left the Edmonton bubble on Sept. 13
ahead of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final, in which the Islanders faced the eventual Stanley-Cup winning Tampa Bay Lightning. Pelech was ineligible to play in Game 6, the Isles final game of their postseason run in which they lost 2-1 in overtime.
Cizikas dressed in 18 games for the Islanders during this postseason run. The 29-year-old center compiled two assists, eight PIMs and a faceoff win percentage of 42.55% during that stretch. Cizikas' last game was Game 2 vs the Lightning.
Kuhnhackl suited up for three games during the Islanders Qualifying Round series against the Florida Panthers. The 28-year-old winger recorded one assist and posted a plus-two rating in that span.
Pelech played in every game except for their final game of the postseason. Through 21 games, Pelech scored one goal and registered four assists and was plus-six. Pelech also averaged the second-most ice time on the team at 22:26 per game.
While the NHL has not confirmed the exact start date of the 2020-21 campaign or finalized details on the length of the schedule, Lamoriello is confident that the statuses of Cizikas, Kuhnhackl and Pelech will not be affected by their injuries when they return to Long Island.
"They will be doing their rehab in different locations," Lamoriello said. "That's how comfortable we are with what transpired with as far as how their surgeries went."
