MARK PARRISH MESSES WITH BATES' MATTRESS
When you're around your teammates 24/7 you have to be on guard 24/7. Shawn Bates learned that the hard way rooming Mark Parrish. In honor of being in Minnesota, Parrish - a Bloomington, MN native - tells the story of pranking his roommate in a Toronto hotel.
"We were in Toronto and Shawn Bates was my roommate. I'm not going to say who helped me out - Brad Isbister and Dave Scatchard - and we thought it would be a good idea when we came back after dinner that we would flip his box spring and mattress.
Literally flip it over. So not just the boxspring, but the 2 by 4s as well.
I was laying in bed with the TV on and Batesy came in. I thought he'd just sit down, but he literally just dove head first into that bed.
I didn't expect that, but he dove head first into that bed and just drilled a bunch of 2 by 4s. I actually felt bad; I think I was the only one who felt bad."
