The New York Islanders put an exclamation point on their first win of the season, routing the Anaheim Ducks 7-1 at UBS Arena.
The Islanders got five goals from their blue line, with Scott Mayfield and Robin Salo each scoring a pair, while Noah Dobson found the back of the net for a second straight game. Oliver Wahlstrom and Anthony Beauvillier each had a goal and an assist, while Mathew Barzal had a pair of assists. Anders Lee had a game-high three points.
The Islanders seven-goal outburst was most Islanders goals in a game since an 8-4 win over the Washington Capitals on April 1, 2021.
