Josh Bailey and John Tavares both participated in the 2018 GEICO NHL® All-Star Skills Competition on Saturday night.
Bailey took a lap in the Enterprise Fastest Skater competition, finishing in 14.413 seconds, while Tavares completed the Gatorade Puck Control Relay in 28.242 seconds.

"It was a good experience," Bailey said. "I think everyone was just out there having a good time and it's nice getting to know some of the guys and it seemed like the fans enjoyed it too."

Neither Islander was able to take home the title or a $25K cash prize. Oilers' captain Connor McDavid won the fastest skater competition for a second straight year with a 13.454 time. Flames' forward Johnny Gaudreau won the puck control relay with a 24.650 time.

Bailey did bring his 17-month-old son Wyatt out to the ice with him to meet some of the players and take in the action. It was one of the cuter moments of the night.

The All-Star Game gets underway at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, with Bailey, Tavares and the Metro Division facing off at 4:30 p.m.
