Alex Lyon made 29 saves for this fourth career shutout and Patrick Kane converted Detroit’s first shot fort the only goal as the Detroit Red Wings blanked the Isles 1-0 and snapped the New Yorkers’ three-game point streak before a crowd of 12,739 at UBS Arena.
The Isles out-shot the Red Wings 29-11 but could not convert on three power plays as they were shut-out for the third time this season (0-2-1).
The Isles are 2-2-2 on the season and head to New Jersey Friday to begin the first back-to-back set of the season.
